Pedal the Plains MS Ride 2012

I didn't get a picture of the start line Saturday am. It was rainy when they left. But here is Wayne crossing the finish line in Sioux Falls at the end of the first day.  79 miles done.  He is wearing a white shirt.

Wayne is a VIP because he was a leader in fundraising last year.  He reached that status again this year after raising over $1500. Here he is resting in the VIP tent at the finish line on the first day.

Here's the starting line on the second day, Sunday.
Wayne rides by at about 1:07 in the video, wearing a gold shirt.

Riders heading north out of Sioux Falls.

The FINISH LINE!!  150 miles, two days, hills, wind, and determination!  He did it!

Eric and Kristy Visit!

Eric and Kristy came to SD for a visit on July 25.  We spent a couple of days having fun in Sioux Falls and then drove up to Aberdeen (Mina Lake) for a few days with family and friends.  The last few days we hung out in Sioux Falls again.  Lots of meals, lots of laughter, lots of fun, LOADS of love!

Taking a walk in downtown Sioux Falls.  Had a nice lunch, looked at sculpture,

Tasty brunch for 20 of us at Bosmoe's!

We had a very nice place to stay at Mina Lake.

Here we are enjoying a stir fry dinner prepared by Eric and Kristy.

The Playhouse

This winter we bought a playhouse at our church auction.  The playhouse was made by students in the Tea High School shop class and we purchased it sight unseen.  It wasn't even completed and we hadn't moved into our house yet.  It was finished by the end of the school year and a couple of helpful guys moved it into our backyard shortly after we moved into the house.  It was a little rough around the edges... but Grandpa has been diligently making progress.  In coming weeks, he'll be finishing the interior, but Aubrey has "moved in" and has asked Grandpa to paint the inside walls pink.
